CLUB HISTORY: Team Rhode
Island Bassmasters (TRIB) orginally started in 1996. TRIB members started the club
with the idea of teaching our youth to enjoy fishing and promote conservation and
good citizenship, which is needed to protect and preserve our fisheries for future
generations. The chapter further aims to promote brotherhood of man and the desires of
it's members to become actively engaged in the spirit of helping our fellow anglers.
CLUB
STATS: TRIB is one of the 26 clubs that make up the R.I.
B.A.S.S. Federation which belongs to the B.A.S.S. National Federation sponsored by the
Bass Anglers Sports-man Society (B.A.S.S). For the 2002 season we have scheduled 7
tournaments in Rhode Island, Massachussetts and Connecticut from May to September. The
total weight of each members top 6 tournaments determines their ranking which in turn
determines who will be a boater or non-boater at the annual State Qualifying
Tournement (SQT). This years state SQT will be held on Lake
Champlain out of Ticondagora August
17th and 18th.
